When it comes to entertaining, most people assume that the women will pull it all together and create all the “fixins” for a great get together. Just like many of the single leading male characters up for an Academy Award, not all men have a woman in their lives (just ask George Clooney as he showed us so eloquently in the movie, “Up in the Air”) to help prepare the food. This year, we would like to offer you, our favorite bachelors, some easy suggestions for your Oscar bash.
Coconut Rum Shrimp: It will look like you slaved for hours but in truth, it will only take you 5 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes to cook!

Ingredients:
2 lbs. Shrimp, raw, peeled, tail on
1 cup Coconut, grated
1/3 cup Honey
1/3 cup Rum
2 cloves Garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
2 Mangos, peeled and sliced
1 med. Onion, diced
1 med Red Pepper, diced
1 Jalapeno Pepper, grated
2 Tbsp. Cilantro
Salt to taste
Directions:
1. Thaw, wash and peel the shrimp. Start with a cup of grated coconut and add 1/3 cup honey, 1/3 cup rum, 2 cloves minced garlic , and 2 tbsp lemon juice. Toss in the shrimp, mix it well, and sauté everything for 3-5 minutes.
2. Combine mangos, onion, red pepper, jalapeno pepper, cilantro and salt
